Fundraising

Like most playgroups it is essential that an amount of fundraising take place throughout the year to help pay for the facilities and equipment necessary for the playgroup to provide a high quality service.

December 2007
The Money Mountain and Name the Teddy were finished at the end of term and raised £16.70 and £15 respectively, which will be put towards a new rug for the registration area. The Christmas Hamper that was put together by the parents has raised £130, the end of term coffee morning raised £6.41 and the Christmas card sales £19.99. This has been a good term for fundraising and the committee would like to express thanks to everyone that contributed.

November 2007
Another carboot sale, and it was freezing! But Anne, Jamie and Traci raised £74 even though they lost feeling in their feet around mid–morning. The proceeds will replace the old sandpit and purchase a water table.

There are Christmas cards now available for purchase and the Money Mountain and Name the Teddy are still ongoing.

October 2007
Our very own spare change "Money Mountain" will be in the playgroup waiting to be filled with spare change and will not be removed until it is full. There is also a teddy that needs a name, which will be pulled from a hat when all names have been chosen. The winner will receive the teddy. All proceeds from these two fundraisers will go towards buying new rugs for the playgroup.

July 2007
The end of term coffee morning was very successful and we raised £52 through the raffle and birthday card sales.

June 2007
Annual Photographs: the photos were taken and printed by the Treasurer and presented in a card frame. We managed to raise £143.

May 2007
The Deputy Playleader, Ruth and Committee Member, Michelle also took donated children’s clothes and toys to the car boot sale at Cheltenham Racecourse and raised £78.

April 2007
The Chairperson, Anne and Treasurer, Jamie took donated children’s clothes and toys to the car boot sale at Cheltenham Racecourse and raised £75.
